Jesse ran Christmas toy drives under the Heavyweight Community Association until he moved from Houston to Los Angeles. Jesse decided that a toy drive although good intentioned sent the wrong message about what should be valued and he ultimately reimagined the HCA to the DCS, ending his turkey and toy drives indefinitely. Jesse launched a scholarship program to coincide with DCS. Jesse is the coChairman of a prestigious scholarship fund, the Esco – Fortune Scholarship Fund, in honor of two Howard University classmates and entrepreneurs, supermodel and actor JuBar “Esco” Croswell and famed tattooist Andrew Fortune. The Esco – Fortune Scholarship Fund helps send at least one black male student from the urban community to a university of their choice. In addition, he is coFounder of the Healthy Ecology & Economy for Mankind organization and has championed the Beautify The Globe Initiative by cleaning one street at a time, presently the group has cleaned over 7,240 streets in the US.
